NOON! what do all the dealers roll out of bed late? Last time i showed around 1030 and seemed to be a decent amount of people(two years ago).
I plan on being there at/between 9-10. My pockets start burning very quickly when i start to drive into the dayton area. |

Anyone seen any decent deals the past couple shows?
The last Dayton show that I went to was right after the election. I picked up some 7.62x39 ammo in stripper clips (Chinese IIRC) and a MAC90 used mag. and just missed out on two new MAK90 mags that the guy just ahead of me bought. |

Goodman show report. I sold my Russian Mak. and the Ruger MKII.
There was no line when I got there at 10:30, but it was very crowded inside. The Dayton airport venue is much better, since it has enough room to make the asiles wider. There were a number of AR vendors, with some selection, but the prices are still pretty high. At least some of the complete rifles were under a grand. Peabody had a Stag AR left hand model for $930 plus tax. Being a lefty I was tempted, but since it wasn't a mid-length, I passed. Stripped lower receivers were in abundance, starting at $169 plus tax. Complete lowers were also pretty plentiful, but prices were still too high. $350+ Saw 2 or 3 S&W M&P15 carbines at $1200 plus tax. Plenty of people were buying, but mostly handguns as far as I could tell. Ammo prices haven't come down yet, but there was plenty there and it was selling. There were also plenty of AK's but I didn't see anybody buying. Several walk-around individuals had AR's and AK's, but they weren't giving them away. One guy had an Olympic complete lower with a cheap stock that he wanted $450 for, and I just said "good luck" and kept walking. I bought a German cleaning kit for $3 from the young guy who always sets up in the back extension. He always has some interesting parts. I bought 3 30 rd. AR mags from a guy walking around with a bag of 70 in-the-wrapper mil-spec Center Industries Military/Police dated June 2003. $15 each. How did you all do? I had more money burning a hole in my pocket, but it was so crowded, I left after 2 hours. |

You must have Bought those from Nick, Sara and I, at Vets correct? Two big blond guys and a Nick's lovely fiance Sara. Nicks trying to get a business started/make a few bucks for their wedding, he's selling for nearly his cost, a excellent price on some of the best AR mags out there today. He'll be at Vets this weekend if anyone wants some new in the packing C-products 20,30 and Polymer body AK mags. Or you could buy from the gov selling bare metal gi for $30 bucks! see you all there! I plan to be there Saturday. May take a couple of handguns to sell. Will look for deals on ammo (not likely), mags (rarely), AR-15 uppers. Bought 2 30rd C-prod mags at the Columbus show for $15.00 each. You can still find some decent prices. |
