Last couple times I renew mine, been about as fast as a reload.. I think the initial might take a day or so..

If you paid by CC, it should be nearly instant. You do have to fully logout and then re-login, though. If that doesn't work, logout, clear all arfcom-related cookies from your browser, and then try to re-login again.
