Is TDI still up and going? The web page has been down every time I check.

Yep, I was just there last weekend.  They may be doing some revising or getting the schedule for 2009 up and posted.

I just checked, works just fine for me.

A friend of mine went to TDI last Spring for a 3 Day Hangun Coarse and said that it was an amazing experience.

I have been to the TDI handgun courses and thought they were very beneficial, especially for the cost. I would strongly recommend any class they have.

If you are going in spring why not attend the annual Buckeye Firearms Buckeye Blast. It's a good trainging oppertunity plus part of the proceeds go to fight to improve and defend your 2a rights..

Dates will be announced on our website soon.

I never realy heard of them (probably my own lack of attention). What are the dates and what is being taught? I am always up for more training!

We attended the Buckeye Blast last year and it indeed was a good time, and good courses of fire. The only draw back for us is that it is a 4 hour trip for us to get there. So we usually get a room and arrive the day before.

Would it be possible to have a 2 day event? We would get more shooting for the time invested that way.

A 2 day event would be great, but it will probably stay at one day due mainly to the logistics and volunteers.  (Never say never though)

It takes about 20 volunteers to put on the event (ROs, setup, scoring, pasting, registration etc) in addition to TDI's staff.  Current schedule is for them to all arrive on Saturday to do the setup and then stay over to run the event on Sunday.  Everyone who helps out (including TDI staff), volunteers their time for the weekend, foots their own bill for hotels and food and travel.  Buckeye greatly appreciates all their help and we couldn't have the fundraiser if we were to chase them off by asking for more.

Now if you arrive early enough on Saturday, we could probably put you to work or at least get to meet you for dinner. :)
