Hey wutsup guys? just thought i'd get a new thread going and meet some new people. My name is Ray, i'm 19 I live in dublin ohio. I have always been into firearms since I was little and it is my passion to continue working with them throughout the rest of my years. I plan on attending college for a gunsmithing degree, i eventually want to open up my own gunstore/online store/local shooting range. For a job I currently work as a supervisor in a call center taking help desk calls/supervisor escalations for an internet/cable/digital telephone company cox communications. I know it sounds like a job from hell and i'm not gonna lie to you. It is!!! I actually just purchased my first black rifle yesterday, It's a Rock River Arms LAR-15 Tactical Entry. She's still a virgin though I have yet to go out to the country to shoot but next weekend she will be broken in. I was surprised to see so many users from Ohio signed up on this forum and would like to meet some new people/shooting partners for the future so if anyone wants to talk or learn more about me you can im me here, email me at [email protected], or shoot me an im at aim:tprrittenhouse yahoo: tprrittenhouse msn: [email protected]. Post something about yourself as i'm sure we are all interested in meeting new people and acquiring new shooting partners for the future. I'll look forward to hearing from you guys, have a good day and happy hunting to all!!!!

Ray Welcome and congrats on your purchase! I'm KoToC or Steve. Glad to have you. You won't find a better bunch of folks then those here on the arfcom Ohio hometown forum.

This feels like an AA meeting but here goes. 30 NRA Instructor in several disciplines. Have worked in politics and write. I'm also a Region Leader with Buckeye Firearms Association, Ohio strongest 2A organization.

I've also been shooting since at least age seven thanks to my WW2 vet grandfather. Was born on the West side of Columbus, grew up around north end and spent summers in Kentucky where my moms family was from.

Major interests are firearms, politics, art, history, comics/pop culture, games of skill.

2007 was a tough year for me and hoping things turn around in 08.

Thank you for choosing to become a gunsmith, the numbers of quality smiths has really shrank over the last couple decades.

Wouldn't mind getting together to put some lead downrange. It's been awhile since we had a group shoot like the old days.

Pleasure to make your acquaintance!

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." Name is Dave. I started shooting with a Daisy Buffalo Bill BB rifle which I still have (pic to follow). Then my dad let me shoot his S&W .38 Spl. and Colt 1911 .45ACP. I was hooked after that. I bought a S&W 686 at age 21 followed by a S&W M39. I started wanting suppressors a few years ago and learned that I could buy them through an LLC.  I need 3 more suppressors and hopefully a subgun someday. I bought a Winchester 1300 Defender last year and a S&W M&P pistol. I live in NW Columbus.

There are a whole lot of us that hang out together in the central Ohio area.

Myself
Swingset
Gr8twyt
Carshooter
Pudwak
ChristIsKing
MyWifeHatesGuns
Armorer
Sick1
Rifleman
NoHarmNoFAL
Twxbzd (or however he spells it)

That is just a few off of the top of my head.

Not only do we shoot at Swingset's range, but we hang out at Carshooter's (he has an FFL) a lot on Saturdays during the winter.  We throw in trips to PRO gun shows and places like the Air Force museum in Dayton.  There is a military museum somewhere in C-Bus that we are talking about going to for our next field trip.

Contact one of us if your interested in joining "the group".

hey guys, thanks for the replies. Steve, thanks for the appreciation i'm happy your a pro-gun politician that's something we definitely use more of in this country. I would love to get together sometime and shoot together, shoot me a PM and we'll try and work something out. Joe, that's a beautiful looking collection you have there, looks like heaven to me! I'll get some pics of my collection up here eventually for you guys to see. Dave, happy to see your input on here, you said you have some suppressors? what firearms do you have suppressed and are you a class 3 licensee? I would love to spit some lead out of a suppressed firearm i've been wanting to for years, you have any pics to share with us? I have a defender 1300 myself they're great for home protection. Anyways I should probably get back to work so I hope to hear more from you guys. Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Well i guess since everyone else is introducing themselves i guess i will too. I'm Kevin. I live in Canton and i love guns. Other than guns i go to school at the University of Akron and im hopefully going to get a degree in mechanical engineering. I would love to find some new people that have th same interests as me as well as some new shooting buddies.  If anyone else is from the Canton/Akron area let me know.  hmm..... what else.   I've been shooting since i was about 9. Started out wingshooting then moved to deer when my dad quit wanting to wake up at 3 in the morn to go wade through waist deep freezing water.  Started deer hunting after that and as i grew older my collection grew.  I got my first AR as a graduation present from my dad and have been trying to build my collection up ever since.  Well hopefully ill get to know some of you a little better.  I don't post a lot but i read just about everything and i look forward to talking to y'all.

ETA: I'm 19 as well so its nice to see some guys my age

I am way off to the west in Miami county, but I still socialize with the list that Jay posted above.   I also just bought my first suppressor this year, too, and you're welcome to it if you come to any of our shoots.
