Anybody ever shoot at spring valley wildlife area near dayton? What did you think of it, was it crowded, whats the distance of the outdoor rifle range ect...?

I shoot out there all the time.
They have a 25/50/100 yard range.
They entertain 50bmg's as well.
One particular Range Officer will bug the crap out of you until he feels that you know what you're doing.
No rapid fire, 2 round bursts (they changed their rule).
Covered, concrete, very nice public range.
Seldom crowed when I go but can get busy in a hurry.
Hope this helps.

I live near there and go there often.  Ditto what the other poster said.

Add:

Closed Mondays and Tuesday.

Handguns must be used at 25YRD, Rifles other then 22LR must be at 50 and 100.  You can get variances from this from the RO.

Avoid it like the plauge the two weeks before deer season.

Archery range is nice also.  Fixed targets and walking course.

Thanks for the info guys. I thought it was pretty strange that they didn't list the ranges on any of the sites. Also, something i forgot to ask...do they provide target holders? The ohio dnr website says that they do but i just want to make sure that's up to date.

Is this the one near the intersection of 48 and 42?

They have an orange mesh snow fence and plenty of laundry clips.  If want a backer, I would bring it, however, I usually pick one up off the ground.

It is off of 42, north of 73
