I have to go through it every 3 years for fireworks and they have been good at getting it back. Heck this spring when I got mine done they told me that it would be ready the next morning before I left. |

The Sheriff's Officer explained that it takes time to tether your permit to you motor vehicle(s). My friend went to Summit Co for his renewal three weeks ago, and still hasn't received his permit. I sometimes wonder if the long wait times are intentional. bigohio |
| One week to schedule appointment, less than 24 hours to receive license in Franklin County. The girls who work at the office were friendly and had great senses of humor making the whole process a pleasure. I would highly recommend residents and neighbors go through Franklin County. |
| I received mine about a week after providing docs to the local (Portage) sheriff's dept. Overall, I'd say the process is relatively painless, at least in my neck of the woods. |

| My application time in mahoning county was about 16 hours. I dropped it off at 3:30 with all the paperwork on a Wednesday and they called thurs morning at 8:05 saying it was ready to pick up. I've have number pics governmental background checks because of the work I do and wasn't an issue as I was already in the system. |

Went to Wayne county this morning for my renewal.
Tried to give the Deputy my SASE to mail my license, and she said "Oh, I don't need that. Since you're a renewal you will leave with your new license." Three minutes later I was out the door with my new CHL in hand. |

Yeah I was not expecting that for Montgomery... everywhere I read was 40+ days.. Not sure if it helped but I typed out my form in all caps and big bold consistent type... hopefully when my wife applies she will get hers just as fast! Hmmm would be nice if it was mailed here too! |

| Applied January 14 at Lorain County SO and picked up my permit in three weeks on the dot. However I lived in Allen County for a few years while attending school. They had my fingerprinting done the next day but apparently Allen County took Two and a half weeks to get my background check cleared. |

| Lucas Co. resident, went to Wood for mine about 3 1/2 years ago, since Lucas was fairly slow at the time. Turned in my application in the afternoon, got a call back in the late morning of the 2nd day after that, picked it up on the 3rd day. So <2 days for approval and 3 days total to get my license. |

Applied in Delaware County Friday at 11:30...
Still have mine from when I was stationed in NC, Sheriffs office said I'm good to carry until mine comes in. I figure mines going to take awhile because I was stationed in New Mexico and North Carolina while I was .mil, lady said they have to check with every county I lived in. |

Erie county 30ish.
They collect applications and send them in once a month.  They do work on Saturday though.
Guy at work got his the same day in Fremont. Sandusky Co. |

Applied 10/20/15. picked up on 10/30/15. Lived in Ohio less than 5 years. May have taken longer because of that. Wen't very well. Sheriff was friendly and had an overall great experience. Currently a Lucas CO resident. |

Mine took slightly less than three weeks in Montgomery County, issued 9/21/15.
Edit- Not sure if it made a difference, but at time of application I had a lifetime Indiana resident license and had recently become an OH resident only a few weeks before applying. |
| I went to Lorain county sheriff's office, they had a reputation for being very slow but they hired someone specifically for ccw apps bc they were losing apps to Erie county. I went in on a Sunday afternoon and picked up my license less than 48 hrs later on Tuesday. Super friendly staff and very fast. Same results for six others I know that did theirs at Lorain, less than 48 hrs. |
