This guy is such a waste of flesh as a Republican. I will be voting for anyone but him and Voinovich. I am so sick of RINO's. ![]()

Which one!? They both suck...IMHO... You have the closet lib on one hand and the "I am a conservative that pushes family values but sleeps with my assistant." Pat DeWine is the Cincinnati former Councilman running for Congress. He actually slept with a woman I knew in High School years ago. Hell, Brian Schweitzer, Democrat Gov of Montana is more of a Republican than these guys... |
Ah, that was obvious. Thanks. I remember years ago (like 20) DeWine came to my HS in the Springfield area and spoke. Don't remember what he said. |

They both are a joke. The bad thing is, I had to vote for Voinovich the last time around to keep that freak Fingerhut out of office. Blah! We have such lousy choices in Ohio, of course, this next election for governer should produce better results. I believe current Sec. of State Ken Blackwell would be a great replacement for Taft. |
He stood firm and did not waiver during the election. He fought the tax increase (tried to get it repealed), as it would hurt Ohio economic and job growth. He said in an interview on 610 a few months ago that Reagan is his political mentor. He said the other day on Bob Connors show that Ohio reps needs to stop spending so much money, and taxes need to be cut strongly. The gun groups are calling on him as the best pro-CCW, pro-2nd amendment candidate. Sounds pretty good to me. And, the ultra-secret rumor mill is pushing his name for VP in 08, as a true conservative, to placate us when they nominate a moderate. Another "funny" point is how two of the most likely Republican contenders for Pres or VP are black (Condi and Ken Blackwell). Buncha racist Republicans, I guess. ![]() |

Yeah, I've been painted with that brush a few times myself(racist, bigot, whatever's in vogue at the time) Thing is, last I checked, we're all Americans! Some of use hold just different views on things, look different, talk different, etc. etc. What it all comes down to is we all bleed the same, and we all want mostly the same thing. We want someone to love us and make us a samich from time to time. We don't want to be cheated out of what we work hard for. We want our kids to be better off than we are and not grow up to be criminals. We sometimes differ on how to accomplish these goals but we pretty much are "live and let live." If any of you think I'm too far off base, I'd be willing to discuss it over a pint of old leghumper. JMHO & YMMV ![]()

I'm here in Ohio for a short time but I'm still a resident of AZ. You guys don't remember the likes of Metzenbaum and Rhodes, do you? They were the worst at the time and Metz was one of the first of the real "gun banners" out there. He set the stage for DiFi and the rest. I finally left Ohio 20 years ago because I couldn't stand it any longer. Tony Hall was a real winner as well. How'd he get to be ambassador anyway? Looks like it has not changed much. I won't be able to live here for any length of time. At least those guys said they were dems and were proud of it. Didn't hide their intentions. Good luck, guys. |

Here is my E-mail to the Republican National Committee: I offer my congratulations - you have finally exceeded my gag limit. For years, I have supported the Republican Party because I: 1. Felt that the Democrat party was so far to the socialist left that they had to be defeated. 2. Entrusted the Republican party to defend the Constitution of the United States. 3. Saw the advance of world wide socialism as a threat to the existence of our countryand my children. The position taken by Senator DeWine and his six cohorts in buckling to the Democrat's on the judicial appointments, Senator Voinovich's opposition to a strong voice for our country in the U.N. and the general ineptness of the Republican leadership on the national level convinces me that you are no longer worthy of my support. I shall continue to support those who show that they have a vision to support our nation and the fortitude to stand up for what they believe in, Ken Blackwell, Jim Petro and Betty Montgomery come to mind, but on a national level, I am severely disappointed in your party's performance. It probably will not bother them in the least, but it makes me feel better.

I made similar comments on www.ohiogop.org I am SICK AND TIRED OF THIS SH#T!!!!! The worst thing will be coingate up here in Toledo. Tom Noe has F-ed it up big time for the republicans. Mark my words this will go all the way to the top and many republicans will fall due to this growing scandal. I feel betrayed because I voted for all these assclowns a few years ago. Strike that I wrote in Jim Tressel for Gov. last time... Anyway Noe has illegally funneled $1000's in campaign contributions to many state and national GOP candidates. In return he received business dealings and political appointments from it. |
It's pretty much accepted as fact that part got slipped into the final bill stealthily. And I agree, that happened on Reagan's watch, and he is responsible, but I'd take another Reagan in a heartbeat, and so would you, I bet. |
