Recently, there was mention that when cops run tags, the CCW comes back as showing "wanted."  I am happy to report that at a certain very large central Ohio department, they now come back "CCW"  I don't know if it's just us, or every department.

On the new, windows based LEADS terminals (the Omnix system), a CCW attached to a OLN gives the same alert sound as a want/warrant hit, and a pop-up window that looks just like a hit notification.  However, the pop-up window has different wording, and the actual alert screen has a purple background (as opposed to yellow for want/warrant).

A dispatcher who is not paying close attention COULD mistake a CCW alert for a warrant hit.  Our day-shift dispatcher has made this mistake several times, even after being told (and shown) what the differences are.
