Damn.....The Bob Evans was great this morning. Gold Star was even better just now (6 chili cheese coneys & chili cheese fries!), I only need some sliders to finish off my fast food fixation, so I can move on to family good food! But you guys can have everyy drop of this sub artic, 900 degrees below zero bullshit! Man, the longer I am gone, the harder it is to come back. Yuk! |
uh, NO!
No, no, no, no & no!
No!
Charlie dont surf! |
Ida never guessed it! |
No, say it aint so! Worse? As I came off the plane, I felt the artic blast comin in the ramp thingy, I was lke, ok, not too damn bad. When I walked out the door of the airport, I felt like someone had slammed me inside a dep freezer. Then tonight when I flew to Gold Star it was even colder. I have to say I do NOT miss this frigid shit one bit! |

Ohio weather is teh shiznit! Where else can you go from 65 degrees and mild to 20 degrees, gale-force winds and ice storms overnight!? That's awesome!! I used to live in Arizona and I got so bored with 85 degrees and sun for 2 solid months at a time. It sucked always knowing outdoor activities were possible. How can people live with that kind of pleasant consistency? It's not normal. It's great living here, you can plan on weird weather months in advance and be right 99% of the time. Not to mention how things like cars, houses and buildings love being objected to rapid heating/cooling/soaking/drying off. It really makes things last. We have allergies here, asthma in record numbers, cold seasons that cripple school and industry, and who doesn't love a hazardous blizzard every couple years? Ohio is God's country. And, by God's country I mean that this is where he tests weird weather patterns out on people. It makes us the most interesting people, we buckeyes. I highly recommend people who live in temperate climates to come here and enjoy our state. |

Weather is cold here in Canton tonight, not bad though. Coming up 77 from 71 thursday night kinda sucked, blowing snow, no accumulation though. Yards currently are dusted, that about it. Going home tomorrow. EDIT- I spent 7yr (85-92) in the NE Buffalo NY area, should not really bother me here, but I let it, guess it just me and my old age. |

Sounds like Ohio is in for a cold and snowy next few days. CavVet, If you think the last few days were bad, you're gonna hate it here next week. |

I remember reading, tho I don't know if it's actually true, that Central Ohio has less sunny days than anywhere else in the country, statistically. Doesn't seem like it would be that way, but then again we have some funky weather with the lakes, southern air and western systems all colliding right around us. It might explain my morose feelings about living here tho...so I tend to believe it. I do know, for absolute certain, that Central Ohio has the most Buckeye fans, and that makes things just as unbearable as a lack of sunshine.

I'm staying in Ohio assisting my Grandfather after his stroke. I lived in Phoenix for the last 8 years. I freakin hate it here. There is a reason I left. BECAUSE I HATE THE COLD!!!!!!! I used to call my father on Christmas and tell him I was gonna try to go swimming later in the day. That I was looking for a single cloud in the sky and failed to find one. I hate to speak ill of my Grandfather (he's not very nice right now) but when he kicks it, I'm leaving skid marks getting out of here. I am so not going to miss it here and doubt I'll be back soon. Gold Star, Skyline and White Castle rock. If you are going to get sick from fast food, that should be the ones. OTOH, I went into a Taco Hell and got to deliver my order in english. I was amazed. Where are all the bilingual menus? |

A cinci area radio station says our area (southern ohio) is likely to get 6-10"s of snow by thrusday. Charlie Luken is holding press conferences and some schools are closing for tomorrow in this 40 degree weather. Im barricading myself in the house for the next week and have stocked up on can foods and bottled water. IVe duct taped all the seams on the windows and doors and chopped down some of the trees for firewood. I think Im pretty prepared but we'll see. God help us all. |
