Just got an email from the sheriff, along with a new ID card, no more paper, you can now renew, modify and pay 100% online. Also he increased the limit from 3 guns to 5.

You also can't list SSE guns anymore. So have a plan for that. Pawn shop re-dros etc.

So if you previously had a gun that was purchased as an SSE, then restored to original condition, listed as one of your CCWs it can no longer be used? How would they even know?

They were registered under SSE. It shows up when they run the serial number. You can have it re-DROS'd at a pawn shop and have it changed or intrafamily transfer to spouse/child/parent and back to get rid of it. If the gun was ever sold after initial SSE sale it is ok as well. It's a common problem in other counties as well, lots of tips on CalGuns, just wanted to make sure everyone got a heads up.
