Damn I don't have any of those. Sounds like a cool job. You wouldn't happen to want to hire anyone with purchasing experience, would you?

How long does it take to get those things if you don't already have them?

Good question. Years ago I looked into getting a guard card for a private security job I was interested in, and it didn't seem to be something that took a substantial amount of time to obtain but I don't remember exactly what. The other two requirements, looks like those might take longer

I ask because, sometimes, certification can be a condition for continued employment after initial hiring.

I would guess the firearms instructor cert would take the longest to get and be the most difficult criteria to meet.

From the CA Dept of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (emphasis is mine) -

FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION
In accordance with California Business and Professions Code section 7585.5, a firearms training instructor applicant must: ?

Possess an associate of arts degree in administration of justice OR one year of teaching OR training experience in firearms or its equivalent;

AND

Possess a police or security firearms training instructor certificate issued by the National Rifle Association or a firearms training instructor certificate issued by a federal, state or local agency.

Seems like a job qualification most easily by a former military range officer/instructor.
