Let me get this straight.
1) in Septermber of 2012 you were told you would need to move out soon verbally. 2) in early November 2012 you were given written notice that you need to vacate. 3) in late November 2012, there was an in person meeting with the landlord to determine last months rent and whether you were paying it or not. 4) now its the end of January 2013 and you are wondering why they are calling the sheriff to evict you? Really? |

The main point is that he told us we didn't have to pay rent after Novembers rent was paid. Which we paid in full, and he gave us a discount for November too. After we handed him money he told us we didn't have to pay any more. Then Tuesday we had the confrontation. Even though he said we could stay till the sheriff comes. We are trying to hold out till the bank gets the hose and see if they will honor our lease. Doesn't the termination of tenancy cancel the lease? |
