Hi there everyone, after reading all the posts and everything that I possibly could, I went and got myself my 1st AR Ended up getting a S&W M&P15 Sport (yes I know no FA or dust guard..... no need for those for what I intended on using it for IMHO).  So far have put 100 rounds thru it and am absolutally LOVING every bit of it! I look foward to tinkering around more and getting better with it.   Those targets were my 1st 100, 50 yards out down ironsights. Looks like I need to raise the front sight up about 1/4 turn, any advice on how to do that? Still noobish with the AR.  (the larger holes on 2nd target were GFs Sig40)

Use something pointy to push the little detent in the front sight and then get a 556 case crush it and turn the front post.

You're rifle should be zeroed at 200 (or better 225 yards).

That puts you about 2.1" high at 100 yards and makes everything out to 250 yards a straight on aim with no hold over/under as long as your target is bigger than cabbage.

Welcome to the club. You made a good decision with that purchase. Before you mess with the sights, read up on "zeroing" to fully understand what you're doing and why.

Next, write your local congressman and respectfully ask they vote no any gun control bill, specifically fineswine's
