You folks better get on the ball and start working. The Polls are showing Jerry Brown up 13 points.

Some of us  that are single-issueonly gun voters are happy about that.

That, and some of us actually have jobs that might be affected by Nut-Megs Veto everything fire everybobdy campain promises. Im not talking just govermnent jobs. I consider myself a conservative person, but im with bwiese, i'm voting my guns and my paycheck on this one. I live in a town that relies heavily on government employment, you take away governmernt jobs, Private industry in this town will litterally dry up and blow off the map. How is that good for the economy?

The state is swirling around the drain - Jerry Brown will sell what's left of it. In no other place in the known universe would and extreme socialist liberal like Moonbat be touted by conservatives. With control of the state's senate and governor there will be a thousand taxes and a million stupid laws passed. Cling to those guns - without their magazines or pistol grips - as wave after wave of environmental insanity cost us a million jobs and several thousand dollars a household. Within years the state will ban the sale of black cars, gasoline lawmowers and other garden tools, and continue the ban on concrete that J. Brown used to stop construction of highways and safer bridges. Social programs will explode and someone is going to have to pay for them - anybody willing to bet that our taxes don't go up by 25% in the next four years?

Watch the taxes fall upon firearms and cartridges, more bans on more features ... all for the children.

With a gun put to my head I wouldn't vote for that fucking cock sucker Brown. The lying sack of shit is of World War II vintage and is a loony as they come. He has zero ability to lead this state and you've got more than a screw loose if you're old enough to remember that son of a bitch and still vote for him.

Yeah, the Democrat Governor is going to hold back the Democrats in the legislature.

We deserve better than moonbat, like someone who could spell Internet or science. The state is bankrupt and that's not going to get better with voters as dumb as the ones we have here.

Paul,

Meg will do no better and is Schwarzie in drag.

The state is f**cke by the legislature anyway.  The way politics work she won't have any leverage at all.
Brown is a cheap bastard and I think he can exert more genuine control than gun grabber Meg.

I lived thru the JB years as you did.  I recall them to be more functional than now, and any issues at the
time were due to the Carter "malaise", plus or minus some drama about the Medfly.

Right now we're at a happy point where further gun laws can be vetoed and/or budgetary restrictions
can screw their enforcement.  It's a once in a multi-lifetime coalesence of happy circumstances that
can let us lock in a fundamental right.

We're fucked. None of the Gov and LtGov candidates are worth a shit. Every one of them is going to sell us down the river.  CA's econmoy is dead, will be burned down by Brown and his eco-horseshit. The monster he appointed to lead CARB his first time around as Gov - and whom Schwarzeneggar foolishly re-appointed will guarantee it. And Brown will back her all the way.
And when the 6th? 8th? largest economy in the world has been gutted utterly, it won't matter at all. There won't be ANY jobs left, even for the state govt.

We have enough loonies here to last us for a life time.  Bwiese is right.  Our state legislatures needs a massive shake down.  Most of them are dems.  So it will be a uphill battle for a "true" conservative governor if that type of governor is ever voted in.

The United States budge is $13.6 trillion in debt and growing, the few billion California is out today is a factor smaller but going to grow massively as the public sector labor unions demand higher fees and taxes and a willing Democrat leglisature, governor, and liberal court system delivers it to them. Unlike the US it's illegal for the state to issue out legal tender, and in some opinions the IOU's that will be issued in the next few years are just as illegal. California is only 49th out of 50 states in having the WORST business climate - we'll take that just as we will sadly claim our place as the state with spending the most per child but getting the apsolute worst in education results.

That's just how stupid we are as a whole.

California is in for some fun times once the budget passes with a simple majority starting next year. The wasteful spending, something we're not famous for yet, will skyrocket with pet projects from the likes of Maxine Waters of which I can't even begin to imagine yet. Those will get rubber stamped without much of a concern about how we are going to pay for them.

Fun times.
10/25/2010 7:34:35 AM EDT
[#10]
More than 1/2 the entire CA budget is spent on education. California has millions of illegals holed up in "sanctuary cities". Those millions have a few kids each which get American citizenship. Where do you think these millions of new Americans with illegall immigrant parents go to school? We are the 8th largest economy in the world, larger than most entire countries.  I just can't figure out why the state has a budget deficit (haha). Anyone who thinks California is going to correct the budget anytime soon has a rude awakening coming.  This is a direct result of law enforcement failing to enforce current laws. Period.

Tend to agree.  Calif is somewhere in the top ten in GDP for countries and we get these two goofballs trying to run the place.

When/what changed this from 2/3?
10/28/2010 9:28:37 PM EDT

Calif. shouldn't have a budget problem. Property taxes are fixed by prop. 13, they should know pretty closely every year how much income they'll have. Then there is sales tax, usually pretty easy to figure out what will be coming in there. probably more of a variable than property though. Especially when the economy tanks. Next is state income tax, personal and commercial.

So what do we have? A legislature that has habitually spent more than the known income can support.

Prop.25, on this ballot.  Socialists did a qualifying petition drive to allow their crappy budgets to be passed by simple majority.  Pollings show it'll probably pass by about 15%. No one's effectively opposing, seeing no ads at all, even here in Los Angeles (as a major tv market).

In fact about the only ads I'm seeing are the No on 23.  A Yes on 23 would block implementation of CA's mini-version of Cap & Trade (primarily against the truckign industry), which ahnold already signed into law. Yes would impose some economic robustness requirements before its implemented. No will let it go forward even in this down economy, effectively driving another dagger into our economy. Just as the CARB marxists intended it do.  CARB, led by the same bitch Brown first appointed to its chairmanship, during his first pass at Gov.

/but hey, the only thing that matter is guns, right? RIGHT?

a legislature that has repeatedly lied to itself and everybody else, completely making up revenue projections to provide a fig leaf for ruinous spending. And depite repeated shortfalls utterly refuses to cut anything or anyone.

So I just saw a Barbara Boxer approved commercial attacking Fiorina tonight during the Intermission's of the Ducks game. Apparently "Not supporting the banning of assault weapons" is "reckless". That's funny....Texas, Nevada, Arizona, and a slew of other states don't ban "assault weapons" and don't see it as reckless. Way to show off your anti-2a feelings.

Next remark - She "supports dangerous off shore drilling which will risk California jobs" - Does that one even make sense? Risk jobs? How about give jobs back you dumb bitch. Oil platforms working off the coast means...you guessed it...jobs! Jobs that Californian's can apply for!

And third - She wants to make abortion illegal. Well...I'll let you guys draw your own conclusions on this one, because I don't feel like being personally attacked for airing my thoughts on the subject.

Most of this election is seeing public labor unions out spending our billionaire women supporting anti-job pro-big government/higher tax initiatives. The fire fighters have spend tens or possibly over a hundred million dollars supporting some of the tax increases and the simple majority for the budget. Where do they come up with that amount of money, why are they so incredibly powerful? Between the firefighters, teachers, cops, and nurse's unions I've never seen so much money spent.

Anyone supporting Brown based on him supposedly being kinda sorta not horribly anti-gun as AG is retarded. Seriously, the guy exemplifies everything that has ruined this state. Environmentalists, Public sector unions, benefits for illegal immigrants; you name it, if it screws over the taxpayer and the businesses left in California he's for it.

"Bu-but, as AG he didn't take away our gimped ARs! That can't be because we're technically following the law, it must be because he's truly pro-gun even though there hasn't been any real evidence to support it, and despite the fact that the NRA gave him a D rating!"

Well the silver lining is that the new governor will continue to advanced the extremest socialist addenda and  drive businesses and investors out of California - while blaming Bush and Schwarzenegger for it.

I can't wait for the repeal of the assault weapons ban even it if means we can't buy black cars, our electric rates are going to double, and more jobs will be regulated to death.

We're damn close to taxation saturation, as you can only squeeze so much blood out of a turnip, and once the state has raised taxes to the point where they can be raised no more financial ruin will follow. My only hope is that the judge that is assigned to handle the bankruptcy is as hard on the folks that spent us there as he is the people. I heard another glimmer of hope in that fees are now possibly going to be considered taxes which may mean they'll be far more difficult to pass.

We're very close to the edge, very close.
