No.
There are evil and non-evil rifles. If you have a non-pistol grip weapon with a removal and attachable magazine you can not have evil features. If instead you go with a pistol grip with an attachable (only) magazine rifle you can have evil features. This handy chart might help. The type of barrel you build with sets the pace for the weapon. If you go with a flash hider, you are stuck with a 10rd attachable only mag, BUT you get a pistol grip, FVG,...all the stuff. If you go with a brake or no device at all you can either go with a non-pistol grip and get to use detachable mags, or you can use an attachable mag device and have fun. IMHO going with a muzzle brake is the best option. It doesn't have to be permanent as long as the barrel is 16" and over. If you go with a 14" barrel and a 2" device it must be permanent. So if building a 20" or 18" you can have a threaded barrel and swap out from a muzzle brake to a flash hider at will, as long as you keep to the other laws as well. A short barrel + a perm flash hider is a one way ticket to attachable only build. Bayo lugs are fine...just stupid as hell. |

Since an AR pistol would fail you only have three options: 1) PPT one from someone who has one 2) Build one. Because it is a pistol you can only use a pistol lower. This means you will have to build the lower from a forging. It first must be built single shot, document it then change it to semi auto. 3) Since single shots are exempt from the safe list, you can build or buy a single shot one and have it transferred to you through an FFL (out of state transfer). Once it is registered to you and documented that it is a single shot you can switch to semi auto. Contact Freakshow Manufacturing LLC and he will hook you up. |
