| Does anyone know of a off the list .308 lower i can buy? |
|
Fulton Armory & POF I recomend the Fulton Armory, I have a stripped lower sitting in the safe that I just brought back from the midwest, finish is good, but the actual engraveing of 'fulton armory' looks like a 5th grader did it with one of those hand held engravers... my only complaint. Cost sucks... a DPMS will run $295 (but is banned) were as a Fulton runs $380-395. I haven't done much research on it, but there is some type of "sleve" required for the POF to accept a DPMS upper. I will most likely build it with all DPMS parts... not because Fulton is expensive, because they don't offer an upper with an Ejection Port Cover. I won't be starting on this project till March, have already found a few suppliers for LPK and Stock... Upper is still up in the air... waiting for a reply from DPMS |

Cold War Shooters is running a deal on TAC-20 DPMS rifle parts to build a .308, I got an Email back from them, they have the whole kit... as DPMS doesn't offer it online. 20" upper, flat top, I send an Email back on whether or not the 4 rail hand guards are on it and if it comes with a carry handle, the Email said $900 (which is actually pretty good) LPK $100, Stock $90, they have the Bullet Button and Mag included in the deal can't remember the cost of them, $18.50 S/H and an extra 3% handleing charge. Which is a pretty decent price. The .308's aren't cheap! Hurry up and get the lower... there was a back order on the Fulton Lower last time I talked to CWS, I got my lower strait from Fulton and paid MSRP, and felt lucky to get it in the time frame I wanted. |

Cold War Shooters is opening a shop in Highland, they also have a website if you can find a dealer to do the transfer, CWS price is lower than Fulton's retail by a few bucks. I adverted the whole CA issue... it's a tough crowd on OLL's. Check out; calguns.net - there should be some info to point you in the right dirrection. I've bought all my Lowers out of state, didn't give much though to it when I bought CMMG's, but I went with a Fulton knowing it was an OLL, just incase I stay in CA after I get out of the Marine Corps. I also have a Military Dangerous Weapons permit, so I'm not as much help on were to find an OLL dealer, being that I have a loop hole to deal with the issues. |
Try calling Chris @ lanworldinc.com I bought a Titan through him from Fulton. Let us know what he says. |
