Anybody know a firm that'll make one?  I'd like one marked .22 LR Only.

Thanks for the link.  Looks like all I need is a non-named lower and a bullet button so I can have an AR again.  BTW, I've got a dedicated 22 LR upper and haven't played with it in a long time.

Marking it ".22LR" doesn't help you legally, it's the bullet button that'll keep this a non-AW.

Not quite true.

If an off-list rifle is a rimfire/22LR, it is not an assault weapon regardless of features.  SB23 only bans "semiauto centerfire rifles..."

An off-list AR in 22LR does not need a fixed mag, bullet button, etc. and can have all evil features.

Make sure you adjust your features appropriately, though, if you put a non-22LR upper on it.

If you have a 22LR conversion kit that uses a regular 223-bbl'd AR upper (inaccurate!!), that's still legit but it's awfully close to the wire.

Right, but marking ".22LR" doesn't mean it's a .22LR firearm.  Purely cosmetic.

Correct, markings are irrelevant (except for make & model) - it's what the weapon's status is at the time of examination.
