Hey everyone,

I just got back from spending a week in Oklahoma.  I took my AR and 1911 out to have some fun, and I got to shoot the AR in it's unadulterated configuration.  I posted pics in the OK hometown forum, so check them out if you're interested.  I had a blast!  (pun intended)

what the hell was that thing on your sopmod stock?

Is OK a beef brisket or pork ribs kind of state?

Less pics of you and more of the girlfriend.

Haha, that thing just landed on my stuff while we were setting up.  It was some kind of grasshopper or something.  We took a bunch of pictures of it.  We also saw the world's hugest caterpillar - it was probably 6 inches long and an inch thick.

As for beef brisket or pork ribs, I don't know if OK has a preference.  My preference is the Arfcom Way:  Get both!

So did you set up next to him on an almost empty range, or did he set up next to you?

And which one of you tried to show off your groups more?

(I am assuming you had groups worth showing off.)

When I visited friends back there we went to the Mears BBQ and I had some really great beef ribs.  I got the feeling that most of OK is cattle country.

You know what they say about assumptions, don't you?  They make an ass out of U and Umption.    I'm not a very good rifle shooter.  I need to get myself some kind of bag benchrest or something, and then some decent ammo to shoot.  Maybe then I'll go for groups.

Times when I go shooting in open areas, out in the boonies, I bring a couple of cut up 4x4 and a large bath towel for a make shift rest.  I'm too damn cheap to purchase those $50-$100 rifle rest .  Thanks for sharing the experience and the pics.

I had a great visit. I can't wait to get back there. I love California though...we're working hard over here to fix things, but it's a slow road to travel.

I agree with you on this. Stay there and fight. We have got to quit giving ground on our rights. If we dont, sooner or later there will be no free place left to run to.

Glad you enjoyed your visit.

Gotta love this guy
