| Anyone from here planning on going to SF for the show? That seems to be the only bay area show worth a damn these days. At least it was last time I went, we shall see.... |
In case anyone is wondering the show is January 20-21. You can get dollar off coupons from the crossroads of the west web site. |
Yeah, I guess I should have thrown the dates in when I posted this. So are you planning on going? |

I used to go to that Cow Palace gun show back between '92-'96 when I was in college. That show was a cool show and they even had some decent "assualt" rifles there. I remember a guy selling semi-auto British L85's. Glad to hear that they haven't closed that show down. thanks, Ron |
I remember one guy there had a bunch of mil surplus stuff BDUs etc. Had an L85, there wasnt a price on it and I dont think he had any other guns. I just figured it was a dewatt or something he had for display. I found out later that it was for sale for 1200 or 1500[I think]. I would of love to added it to my collection. I should of asked him about it. That was back when Colt sporters were 650. |
I like some of their reloads, too.. Last show I was looking for any .50BMG I could get. I went by the Ammo Dump table and saw that they had some brass for .50BMG and I asked if they had any full ammo. Their response ".50BMG ammo is illegal, it's a felony." I just had to shake my head and walk on..

| I went Sunday morning, got an XD45 mag and a 1" riser for my Colt Flat top. Other than that the ammo I was looking for was all sold out by then. The guy didn't have any 45 or 223 left and this was first thing Sunday. He said he went thru 6000 rnds of each on Saturday, oh well, I snoozed. I did get his business card and will be giving him some mail order business though. All in all for a Cali show it wasn't bad. |
