Not a problem.  It's the collapsible and folding stocks with a pistol grip on a semiautomatic shotgun that our borderline communist state has a shitfit over.

Try asking these people: ag.ca.gov/firearms/contact.php

They could even point you to the reg you're looking for.

Sure beats, "Dude...I heard it on ARFCOM."

Asking for someone to say "Read the Weapons Laws thread tacked at the top of the forum!!"

It's covered in there, under the assault weapon laws. Read the actual law for yourself, it will be better than someone else posting what they think is legal.

Thanx for the common sense approach.

so It says:
(6) A semiautomatic shotgun that has both of the following:
(A) A folding or telescoping stock.
(B) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon, thumbhole stock, or vertical handgrip.

(7) A semiautomatic shotgun that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine.

now I'm confused, does this mean if it has both, it is a no go..or what..

this cold I'm dealing with and the accompanying Med's have got my brain a little foggy to say the least.

It's that simple:
If your semiauto shotgun has a folding/telescoping stock AND a pistol grip, it is an illegal CA assault weapon unless already registered as an AW.

You can't have both.
