Well guys the time I've spent in CA has been fun. I've really enjoyed the weather, the women, the work; but all in all I'm ready for a change. I quit work almost 2 months ago and now I'm finally leaving. I just got done packing up my stuff and I plan on being out of here by 10 am tomorrow. I know it is a late start but I am only going as far as Lake Tahoe. I'll stop over at our cabin and maybe go to the line and lose some money at hold 'em. I plan on taking it easy on this trip since I don't have to move into my place in Ft. Collins until Friday. Tuesday I think I'll only go as far as Salt Lake and then finish the rest of the trip on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to seeing my family again, but since I'm a very sick man (Terminal EBRD) I am equally thrilled to see my weapons. There will definately be some money spent at a few shops in the next couple weeks! Anyways, if any of you are on my way and want to grab a beer, go to the line, or shoot stuff let me know. Like I said I'm taking this one slow and I want to enjoy the trip. grooVe ETA: An interesting side note. I went to see my grandfather today to say goodbye. After talking a bit he asked me if I wanted some ammo to shoot. "Ammo for what?" I asked. He takes me to the garage and on a latter he directs me to a brown ammo can hidden away on a top shelf amongst tons of other crap (I swear.... old people! See there are reasons for visiting the old folks; FREE AMMO!!! |

UPDATE: Well I've been at Tahoe for the past couple hours. The drive up was partly foggy with a little rain. Once you get up to the summit and drop into Tahoe it clears completely and you can see the entire lake. I'll take some pictures with my phone and post them in a few. |
FLAT LANDERS! I swear..... Fog comes from the ground. Clouds come from the sky. When you drive UP into it at 5000 feet it's called clouds. Are you at South Lake Tahoe? Surrrrre, don't even stop by the house and say good bye on the way out. Seriously, have a safe trip. And don't let the people in CO give you any crap about being a liberal CA transplant. Get some CO license plates asap.

You wont miss it that much, there is plenty of scenery in CO. I've hunted there a few times in Oct, man is it beautiful when the aspens start turning. It will be a nice drive from Salt Lake to the border too. |

| My family and I are flying to Denver in a a little more than a week. We are driving straight to Steamboat Springs when we land because, that is where my parents condo is. We are staying there until Thursday, then driving that morning to Colorado Springs. We will be there until Sunday. Anything along the way between those 3 places I should try and see??? Thanks. I hope it's as beautiful as I have heard and seen in pictures. |
It's fall so everything is beautiful. |
