vulcan and quality should not be in the same sentence together unless "bad" proceeds quality

Back when the FAB10 and the Vulcans were the only game in town in CA, it was a choice between the sealed mag well, or mediocre/inconsistent quality pinned mag receiver (respectively).

I am ashamed to admit it, but I actually have a pinned mag Vulcan. It is of decent quality, finish is adequate, and everything fits. However, from what I have read, I was lucky.

With all the other off list brands available in CA, I would spend a little extra and buy the better brands. My Stag and CMMG receiver have a much better finish.  In all fairness though, all my lower parts kits and uppers fit regardless of it being a Stag, CMMG or even Vulcan.

Get another off-list lower, if that's what you're looking for.

If you mean to go the .308 route, buy an FAL.

I have two pinned Vulcan AR-15s, one looked like crap and was out of spec, the other looked decent and was in spec.
I also have two HAR-25s, finish is crappy but they function well.

I've got a Vulcan AR15 and have no complaints at all.
