I went to the gunshow at the OC fairgrounds this morning.  Parking is still free but the admission cost have been raised to $12.00.

CWS was there selling stripped lowers. Prices ranged from $99.00 For LARs to $250.00!!! Prices did not include sales tax, DROS or transfer fees.  CWS had a transfer dealer out of San Fernando at their booth.  He was charging $35.00 transfer plus $25.00 DROS. No way I was going to pay close to $200 for a lower that sells for $79 - $90 everywhere else then drive an hour to San Fernando for pick up.  They had a few takers.  Mostly young Asian guys with shaved heads and young white guys with lots of facial piercings and tattoos. Everyone old enough to have bought their AR's prior to 2000 was looking at them like they were nuts. When people asked about assembling the lowers they told them "You cant assemble them, you have to wait until DOJ adds these manufacturers to the ban list."

CWS also had complete uppers including STAGs that sell for $445.00 - $485.00 Delivered on the EE.  CWS was asking $495.00 - $595.00 depending on model.

Lots of Made in China clone products from AR accessories to nylon gear. At least a dozen beef jerky vendors. Miwall had a booth in every building. IIRC they were asking $126.00 per 1,000 for Wolf 55Gn, or $69.00 per 500.

One booth had DPMS LPK's for $50.00.

One guy had a London Bridge 3-day pack in excellent condition for $70.00

Used USMC combat tents were $85.00 in good condition at best. I got one in excellent condition for $80.00 from the same guy less than a year ago.

$3.00 for a bottle of coke.

Quantico Arms had a booth with nothing in it when I was there. But they were passing out flyers.

If anyone cares, that FFL stocks his own stripped lowers.

But CWS has done me right in the past, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

So who had the best jerky?

I was hoping Miwall would be there, did anyone see what their 7.62x39 was going for?

Didnt see any.  I did see two strippers with a fat man that might have been Lynn Thompson, and a dirty surfer with no shirt though.

I'd bet money that this last part was lost on the shaved head and facial piercing crowd...

It was at $149+ tax this time. A little better than before, but I still think you can get it cheaper online, and get it delivered to your door.

Lynn Thompson... I haven't seen him at a gun show in years, at least since the Great Western show in Pomona. Were the two strippers selling autographed posters?
