Just curious if anyone has checked out the quarry up by Placerville lately? I've been there before so I am familiar with the place in dry weather. Do you think I could get in there this week with a two wheel drive car? Or is it too early? My kids are on Easter break this week and want to blast stuff without any range nazi's around. |

No way in a 2wd vehicle, and probably not in anything without tracks either. I haven't gone up to check yet, but my son was up that way 4 weeks ago and the snow on MI Road was still about 6 feet deep a good 10 miles from the Quarry. Based on last year, and barring any unusually hot / rainy weather up there, figure it will be late May at best before we can get to the Quarry. ETA: The snow pack this year was 300% of normal. |
