i was wondering if angeles offered rifle shooting at 50 yards? or is it from 100yards out? i only really go to SG valley gun club because i live a few mins away and i mainly punch paper with my ruger .22. so all in all i'm just looking for a safe well run range to target shoot at

Their main rifle line has just open space until the berm at 100 yards. There's a tiny sign off to the right edge of the range marking 50. you can just place your target stand at 50 instead of 100, but the wind would most likely topple it.

If you're going to Angeles, I would call to be sure that the road that was washed out by the winter's rain has been repaired. It is a major detour to get to the range on the detour, 30 minutes min more.

Their website says that the main road is now open.

I checked it out on Sunday, and yes, the road is now open (with a small bypass). And you can set-up your targets at any distance. The targets on the frames provided by the range are anchored in the wooden beams at 100 and 200 yards. Those at shorter ranges need to have additional "feet" on them (also provided by the range). Those tend to blow over on windy days, and I believe it is considered okay to put sand bags on the "feet."
