looks fun but not for 100 bucks. I think you underestimate what it takes to sponsor shooting events/competitions such as this. There are costs involved in bringing organized shooting events to the public, and when you consider the BEHIND THE SCENES work involved in hosting these types of shoots, things add up quickly. While $100 may seem high for 5+ hours of range time, this opportunity is much more than that... it involves prizes/awards, a meal, time on a range at night (don't see that often), and I'm sure instruction/assistance for those who may need it... not to mention an opportunity to gather with like-mined individuals and check out other's gear and equipment. While this post is in the Florida HTF and not the EE (subject to ad-stomping rules), it would still be considerate of you to just pass on the post vs. leaving a negative comment... no offense intended, just my opinion. |

I'm putting in for the day off. Any hotels near the range? It's over an 3hr drive from Jacksonville. One question about IR LIGHTS..
. Targets will be lightly illuminated. (Should you wish to illuminate your targets more, you are free to bring your own target illumination system.) Hand held subdued flash lights ONLY will be allowed after leaving the staging area (club house). Flashlights must only be used for administrative purposes and NOT for target illumination (NO exceptions) . It says here we are allowed to illuminate our targets more if we like but later it says no target illumination... Thanks, Slug-O EDIT... I called and reserved 2 spots. I also asked about the lights.. |

Just contact the warden on FB and See if you can meet her down at the beach and she will hook you up. |

| Not sure why such a light response this time?....maybe shooters are scared to hot nights or bugs?....Anyway, we have room for 10 more. Only 10 registered so far! The event will take place regardless of numbers. If you are coming and have friends with a scope rifle good to 500 yards! ....we have room for them! book now. |

The Okeechobee Shooting Sports Facility / range is open now. You can email us directly at [email protected] for any info on the event.
Hampton Inn Okeechobee is the best. However Okeechobee town center is just 4 miles from the range so any hotel in Okeechobee would work. Holiday Inn Best Western Etc....all within 4 miles. |
