I currently live in the Daytona Beach area.  I would like to start looking for a few acres to use for a BOL within driving distance.  I don't really have any preference other than North of me. If I am bugging out, I'm not going South of where I am.  I'm basically just looking for suggestions for a decent realtor or website where I can do a contract sale making payments.  Am I spinning my wheels or should I go North to Georgia or beyond?  I will eventually be putting a cabin or pole barn on it and I need it to be within decent driving distance so I can do weekend work there.  Thanks in advance.

I'm also in the Daytona area, Port Orange.

I travel N. Fl. for a living and have been looking in the Ft White, Branford, Bell and Live Oak area.

i moved from dirtona last year. north and west.....

raw land is easy to find, its getting banks etc to finance it.  just west of barberville, backed into the north side of mary/dexter wma was 13 acres for under 75k.i found 10 acres just west of the river for 52k..but it was in the ONF.

i just search map function on zillo/trulia etc. land and farms can help to.

it just wont be cheap.

my family had 5 acres in bradford,,sold it. was deed restricted even though it was in bfe. last time i was there (before the sale) some fuck from new york had built a big brick house 3k sq ft easy. right off the dirt road and with in yards of the property line. he then would tell lookers/buyers the place floods etc .....he also had some "trails he so nicely mowed so he could walk around " his" land"...he went into his flood shit ,,till we dropped the " were the owners "...and he stfu fast.

in other words ...do your homework....

and honestly for a BOL,,  and i mean true BOL think 3 days walk from shittona. even 80 miles is gonna be a weeks walk..more if you have kids.....reason i moved only 45 mins away...still gotta work in the 'tona area but still plan on 3-4 days walking to get home.....i already bug'd out lol

There are a few secluded little communities like Hunters haven, Lake Delancy and Norwalk in the forest that are far off the beaten path in the Salt Springs general area. A few having lake front, a possible food and water source if needed. They are only about 60-75 minute drive from the Speedway. Being able to easily Limit  vehicle access if things went bad would be my first consideration for a BOL.

This might help you get started. You can search by county, region, size or price of land.

Amber is is gun friendly, into 4 wheeling, is survival savoy and knows what acreage would meet your needs. I highly recommend giving her a call if you are still looking for a broker. Tell her Jaydee referred you.

That land by Mary Dexter Farms has some game on it as well.
