Hey guys I'm looking around for an ak 74 and started to wonder why I only see them sold in parts? Is there a specific reason for this?

thanks for any help!

There's 74s around. Are they parts kits with the barrel, too? People like to do kit builds to get the product they want, for the same price, or less, of a cheap rifle.

I always wanted a 74, but the ammo situation leaves me worried. 99% of the ammo for it is imported, and domestic stuff is a buck a shot, if you can find it.

I am looking for a nice 74 side folder

The ammo is dirt cheap, I just saw that you can get the wooden crate w/two 1100 rd ammo cans inside it for like $400

I've been in the market for one too, there are some on gunbroker, but they are well over 1100. It hell bent on an original arsenal sgl31, although ppl the Fime Group sgl31 are said to be the same thing. I missed out on a two but I've been patiently waiting

interesting lol I just wanted to make sure there wasnt an issue with the legality of the 74. Nice to know there is a fair group of people interested in them.
