Hey guys! im looking to buy a pistol from someone out of state. Its going to be sent FFL to FFL but is there any way i can make sure he doesn't run off with my money, like having the ffl pay him when he delivers the gun or something?

Most FFLs will not act as escrow services, to my knowledge.  They don't want to get between you and the seller except as a point of shipment.

If you're really concerned, or it's a lot of money, there are online escrow services.  I've never used one, but I have a buddy who has.  Most of them seem geared for large transactions like vehicles, and their fees reflect that ($25-50).  A quick Google found this place, https://www.miniescrow.com/, who says they specialize in small (<$2000) transactions, and they charge 2.5%, so if you're spending $500 that's only $12.50.  That doesn't seem like too much to pay for peace of mind.

Who are you buying from????
It is a daily occurrence to send off cash and hope the item gets shipped. Nothing new.
If buying from someone on this board and they have been a member for a while you can buy with confidence.
If some random person off of craigs list there is going to be more of a risk.
