May 8th-10th I'm going to be in the brandenton/palmetto area south of Tampa. What are the decent areas to stay in and what areas to avoid? Thanks guys.

Bringing my father in law to surprise the mother in law at the Southeastern Guide Dog center. So technically I would like to be close to that location.

This is about 15 min's from where the Guide Dog center is. It is right next to an outlet mall, so there are a bunch of restaurants in the area as well.
