Ive lived here all my life, Its changed a lot in the last few years, Most areas are pretty good, the only street in town that's even kinda bad is Crawford street. there are a few blocks in town here and there that aren't great but nothing really dangerous. Crime in general is pretty low but there are occasional vehicle break ins and shootings. You used to be able to leave your car running in a parking lot and run inside and not think twice about it but its not quite that good anymore. most of the subdivisions are going to be like any other subdivision. The walmart parking lot seems to be the worst spot for vehicle brake-ins although they do have security there now.I would rate it pretty high as far as gun friendly but their has been a recent influx of "northerners" to Osceola county in general which made it go blue in the last election. The sheriff will sign off on nfa paperwork though and most of the police seem pretty good. if you have any other specific questions just ask.

LOL, pretty much sums it up, while there has been alot of sub divisions pop up in the last 5 years or so, it is still very much a small town, no malls, movie theaters(that are worth while), or major restaurant chains( only ones in town are chilis & outback). also there is nothing to do at night besides sit at small bars. Its going to be a 20-30 min drive on the highway to get to anything, and Its still not uncommon for people to ride horses to mcdonalds.

I've lived here all of my life as well and would echo what the others have said. Overall I think it's not a bad place to live.

Lived in Kissimmee when it was 5000 people, and 500,000 cows.  No mouse land.  St Cloud was our 'hated rival' when it came to football and girls.

All the folks I have known from there were great.

hard to get out of unless you want to use a toll road like 20 min in any direction it's kinda like living in south dakota.

pros

quiet.
