I didn't see it posted anywhere else so excuse me if this is a repost.

But I just saw on Facebook that Tenoroc will be closing on February 14th. According to their update, Florida Wildlife Commission didn't renew their lease and therefore Tenoroc will be closing the doors. Sad news to me...just found that place like a year ago and have probably made 6 or 7 trips already.

Something seems screwy about that. That range was built from funds

they get from gun and ammo sales. It is BS if it is shut down. I wonder

if the current tenants are being greedy.

I've had bad dealings with Mark and his failures to keep contracts. Not a tear was shed.

The Range has always been owned by the State of Florida just like the rest of the Tenoroc Management Area. The Original Range was built by the State and Leased By Mark from the State. I do not know the exact details on how the Range was Maintained, if Mark was required to pay for Upkeep or if the State helped Pay for the Upkeep. But I do Know Someone Who is a lot closer Friends with Mark than I am that might be able to give Me a little better detail on it. Personally I prefer to deal with Christine Marks Wife and will Miss Her the Most I don't have a whole lot of Love Loss for Mark ethier

From what I understand the Range/Ranges are going to be completely redone? Hopefully for the Better I just hope they don't do what they did to Saddle Creek 25 Years or so ago when they rebuilt that Range. I believe it is only 50 Yards now where it use to be 100 Yards, I don't know I haven't been there in 20 Years!

I've done business with Mark and UA for years, and have never had anything but a positive experience.

If it reopens I hope the only 2 people they bring back are the 2 young white guys, everyone else is a putz. The asain guy is a mental reject from the army and the old guy will steal your brass while you shoot! im all for the state opening that place up and making it like markham park in broward county!!!!!! Also, there is a new state range set to come in oseola county in like a year. I think its called 3 rivers or something. I saw it in the news a few months back.

The Asian guy yelled at my friend all gunnery Sargent Hartman style because his toe was on the red line when the range was cold. His toe, I was standing right next to him. Actually got in his face yelling. We left and I joined a real range.
I've bought powder and primers there and everyone seemed cool except for the gunny.

I've never had any issues with the current crew.  I did however one time push my friend over the red line when he wasn't paying attention, and he got a lashing from the range officer.  Those guys LOVE yelling at people.

I too have done business with Mark for many Years, and spent a lot of Money at both places Including the Purchase of My Sons Caesar Gurenni O/U Sporting Clay's Gun We handed Him Cash Money for it almost 4,000.00!

But no bones about it Mark is ARROGANT and it has cost Him a lot of Bussiness in the past and will continue to cost Him Business until He changes! But I Personally don't see that happening anytime soon.

Hopefully Christine will go to UA and straighten it out I would like to see them Sucseed and Prosper as We need all of the Firearm Bussiness We can get

This is why I haven't been in years... I will go all the way to Manatee to shoot.

Christine was always nice. Everyone else... bleh.

There was one range officer that wasn't bad. He was nice and chatty, but not breathing down your neck. Even offered me some new grips for my 1911 once.

My family bought various year memberships to shoot for $1 each visit. Half way through the contract, he decided that it was now going to be $3. It wasn't enough money to bring to small claims court, but he's a worthless turdburglar that runs a poor business. I've taken away thousands of dollars of business from him, so I hope it was worth it.

The State of Florida decided to oust all the "vendors" on State property. They plan to manage the ranges themselves. Tenoroc has a brand new trap field installed now, not ready to run, but installed.
