Show at Central Florida Fairgrounds - they opened at 8:00 instead of 9:00 - tongue in cheekly called "Black Saturday". After the recent political nightmare - I'd expected Gun Show Armageddon. Instead, nowhere near the pricing craziness that I had anticipated. Parts, ammunition and loads of ARs/Accessories to be had. Saw many more Lowers this time over last show - October. Saw boxes/cartons of Spike's Lowers - the Spider ones and the "pirate" ones - I'm still pretty new to the AR. I went by every table and my $180 bucks evaporated quickly. This was a "knick-knack" trip. Last time I spent close to a grand on stuff. I was finished at about 9:30 and people were really pouring in. Outside, the line was one of those "Disney Snakes" but only had one long run and then the turn-back towards the pay-windows. Oh - inside I did not see the crowd filling out paperwork as I had previously. It looked active, but other times I've seen them waiting for seats to open up.

Side Note: What happened to the SKS Rifle? They used to thunder across the tables in vast herds; I saw maybe FOUR at the whole show. Been this way for a long time, right?

ONE THING I noticed - very disturbing - was that there was more SWEEPING going on than at a compulsive house-cleaner convention. Waiting to go in, this guy walks up with a really nice Rem 870 in light color wood dressing. Barrel was pointing straight at the chest of the guy next to me the whole time. And that guy was oblivious to this. Inside, I repeatedly saw people carrying weapons and also handling them at tables, all sweeping the room and/or pointing right at the heads of people walking by. This one guy had a shotgun by the handgrip - couldn't see the trigger area, and he turned toward me as I passed. Here came the muzzle and I pushed it upwards with the edge of my hand before it pointed at my face. The guy looked startled and then was "Oh - Sorry!" Wow... yeah I know that the guns are checked upon entry, etc - but that only works right up until someone dies.

Overall the shows there are pretty good - it's good to have CCW and carry out what you buy. I still feel that unique American "gun show glow" - MIGHT try to wheedle a few more bucks and go back on Sunday... Pweeze, Wifey? Pweeze pweeze pweeze... (smacking sound followed by sniveling...)

I went to the show here in Cincinnati right after the election and found it busy but not 2008 stupid.  1 guy did jack the price of his guns up $100-150.00 bucks and didn't have the common sense to buy new tags, just cross the price out from last months show.

Only 2 Spikes lowers I saw were $170.00 but the same as last month. I ain't seen a Spikes lower here since beginnng of the year when I got one. Love another but I'll settle for a Aero if I need one from the next show (I have a PSA here now for my next build)

Last orlando show I went to I witnessed a team of urbanites in the process of doing a smash and grab out in the grassed parking area. The saw me watching and didn't give a fuck. I ran in and notified one of the FHP on the inside - don't know what happened.
