I have never sold anything on the EE  and was wondering if anyone else on the Hometown forum has ?   I want to sell an AR but would  like to limit it to Florida and do a simple FTF  cash transaction.    After reading all the drama about shipping problems and people claiming they were ripped off as the condition of the gun wasn't as advettised , I'm thinking  a FTF transaction would be the best way to go.    Any issues with this ?

What say you hive ?

No issues at all, you can put whatever terms you want in your ad. Ive done countless FTFs over the years. Never had any issues. Make sure you list your terms very carefully, list all the good AND bad with the item your selling, include good pics and arrange and time and place with someone. Be sure to get their cell incase there are any issues.

I've gone both ways.  No, wait.  That didn't come out right.  I've been buyer and seller, FTF, FL only.  So far, I've not had any problems.  I've been careful where and when I met someone.  No meets behind the liquor store at 2am, that sort of thing.  I only sell to CCW's.  I'm a retired leo and prefer not to sell to a "prohibited person".

I bought from this guy and it went great.

To sell I just list the item FTF and add $50 in shipping to narrow the field.  I check the Florida HTF EE for sales most of the time, and would think most do the same once they find out about it.

Thanks all  for your input.    Agreed truckcop,   I don't want to be selling my SPR to a 16 year old kid with a fake DL...    I will limit it to  FTF in FL with a valid CCW.

anyone with the skill and materials to make a FL DL that is good enough to fool you can also whip up a bogus CCW that could fool you.

Equipment exchange, the orange button up on the top right side of the page.

ETA - Looks like you have used it since you have feedback on here...

I can understand why you prefer FTF but remember FL is a HUGE state. Are you really going to do ftf if you live in Miami and customer is from the panhandle?? I doubt it.
I have been buying/selling/trading on the EE and 95% of the people are GTG. Look at their feedback, that's what it's for. I am really grateful for the EE here it has allowed me to move some stuff that I would probably be stuck with and find some stuff I could probably never get!! Once you learn the in/outs of shipping stuff, ie, guns, ammo, scopes etc. it's a breeze! Anyhow, good luck with your sale!
