I can't believe that asshole got awarded a multi-million dollar contract at 18!
Why? He did all of the correct procedures. And until greed got the better of him, he was meeting his bids. You see, the pentagon cannot exactly run a deal in the "gray market" itself.... It has to use a contract system. Wow, I wonder how many soldiers got killed because this asshole wanted to make buck ?
Most likely none. He had a good track record of supplying US Spec Ops troops.... This is how he was allowed to bid on bigger contracts One contract he did successfully was a $15 million contract to sell old Russian-manufactured rifles to the Pentagon to supply the Iraqi army. Another was a deal to sell FN Herstal machine guns to the Colombian army. Who did he bribe to get a 298 million dollar contract?
No one. Bush required all Govt contracts had to be but out for bidding and anyone that was registered with the Govt would be allowed to bid on them. This was to prevent Halliburton from "running the war" as they claimed. Also, unless the Govt had reason to believe that the person could not fulfill the contract they HAD to go with the lowest bidder and a certain percentage of contracts HAD to go to smaller folks. The website to bid on Federal contracts is https://www.fbo.gov/ IRRC, the first contract this guy won was for a few hundred helmets. He handled that contract very well, so he got a good rating and was able to bid on bigger contracts. What did him in was a SUPER large order for Soviet-era weapons for Afghanistan ($298,000,000). The problem is they sold Chinese AK ammo to the US. So: 1. He got the contracts legally. 2. NO Soldiers died from hie deals (defiantly no US troops). 3. He didn't bribe anyone in the US.... Dealing in the gray market means he DID bribe people overseas. |

This kid again... I don't understand why some just can't do it right and keep it clean. He had a lot and gave it all up due to greed. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes...

Freakin traitor... How is the dude a traitor? He was working contracts for the DoD????? Some versions of the story tell that the DoD knew about the Chinese ammo and didn't care since it was exported prior to the embargo. The kid is a bit of a slyster.... But a traitor???? How do you come to that conclusion? |
