My gunsmith is in Ft. Myers.  He's also a licensed NFA dealer and engraver.  Old school customer service.

His Name is Don Quinnel of Don's Gun Shop.  (239)334-6779

Don is mostly a smith and....well mostly just a Gunsmith, although he does sell some stuff. He builds and repairs a lot of  registered toys. If you are looking for a SKS I would check with the GoldMiner in N Ft Myers. A pawn shop, but also carries a lot of guns and has a pretty good reputation.

I had a questionable experience at Gold Miner. I was looking for a 1911. They had one that fit my price and requirements, but it was listed as new. However, the left side of the gun showed rust on the grip screws and holster wear. This is a classic sign of a carry gun. When asked if they were sure the gun was new, they insisted. When I pointed out the rust and wear, they stuck to their story that it was new and never used stating, "That was probably caused by going in and out of the safe." Needless to say I didn't buy there.

Another place to stay away from is Shoot Straight. Bunch of cocky salesmen. I guess that is typical but they screw with the prices. They had a Gen 4 Glock for $550 in the store. I waited for the gun show in hopes to get a better deal. The same gun was listed for $575. When confronted, the guy behind the counter said that was the bottom price. I found one from another dealer for $500 OTD.

I mainly hit the gun shows or Bass Pro, if the price is right.
