Not sure if this will get you there since I hit it before I copied. If not please go find this poll on Orlando Sentinels opinion page ;
Should Florida Make It Harder to Buy Guns? http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/opinion/os-poll-florida-tougher-gun-rules-100110,0,6573365.poll We're running behind |
| The problem isn't the poll; it's the fact that the paper is conducting the poll in the first place. That is to say it's not really a poll it's a statement: "it should be tougher to buy a gun". Given most people are like a mindless herd of sheep this sort of "journalism" is unethical and dangerous. |

Given most people are like a mindless herd of sheep this sort of "journalism" is unethical and dangerous. Yup. That's exactly why they do it; they are trying to set public policy from the editorial desk, incrementally, and in total disregard of the legalities. When these polls go our way you never hear about them again. But when the outcome of some asinine, slanted, poll goes the way it was intended you'll read that according to a poll; "51% of Floridians favor increased restrictions on gun purchases". And they'll keep publishing these polls until they get the desired outcome or simply to creates an issue where none actually exists so they can discuss *the important debate over " the issue" of gun ownership in Florida*. |
