Bob Howell is in Davie, and he pretty much "wrote the book" on NFA trusts.

For Miami try Carlos Davila, of the Davila Law Firm, P.A.   786 220 8234.  He's a good guy and a serious firearms enthusiast.

Tell him Ben from Boresight Solutions sent you.  (no, I don't get a referral fee)

Bob Howell is in your neighborhood. Absolutely nothing bad do say about Bob. He's reasonably priced and does good work.

What is reasonably priced?  Could one hope to do the trust for say, $600?

I guess you cold go the trustmaker route,  end up with something acceptable but straight jacked up if something happens to you and your survivors trying to figure out WTF to do with the things.  Spend the money.  If you are going to get into the game pony up or go home.

Exactly why I asked!  I don't know what the price should be. I still don't know either, your answer was no help. Does anyone else have a reasonable estimate?  I don't mind spending the money but I'm sure as hell not going to flush it down the toilet in blind haste, that's why I asked. Was hoping for a little insightful experience not a pony up or go home!

$200 is the most I'd pay. Trust law is simple for lawyers who deal with such. If they wanted more than $200 I'd go quicken or something.

Sorry about that.  You were in the ball park.  Anywhere between 4 to 6 hundred.  There is a local one in town (Ocala) that if you and a bud show up he charges 4.  Singles pay 5.  You pay lots to a lawyer to make sure the shit is right.  Basically you get what you pay for.  I deal with the law every day and you would be surprised the number of jailhouse lawyers in of all places, jail.

I went with Bob and he not only did I think the price was right, the trust was custom tailored to me and my family.  I have also called him on numerous occasions to ask questions and he has always answered the phone and been very thorough.  I highly recommend him.

Dude, you're wrong....And where have you been? Did you miss the Hernando MG shoot? It was all that and more...I'm picking up the Ruger AC556F tomorrow at SS, you ought to come shoot it w/me!

As for the trust, it all comes down to your situation: Any substantial net worth and estate: You'd better get an attorney that 'knows their stuff' otherwise take a chance on quicken...

I went w/the Apple Law Group in JAX and he not only did nice work, he gave us some great advice and continues to provide instructions, whenever needed. $500.00 all in.

I've been around, just not shooting all that much.  Seems like everytime I want to go there is a "mandatory" function my wife cooks up.

Tomorrow may be good in the afternoon though.  Email or IM me your cell and I'll let you know for sure in the AM.  I can also tell you why I'm right above!
