Not quite in Navarre, but on either side of you (Pensacola and Destin) I'd highly recommend McGuires Irish Pub. Get the Irish Wake, and the Hawaiian Pineapple Steakburger and call it a day!

Hey acegunner, welcome to Navarre/FTWB! Here are the places where I eat: Helen Back Again Navarre - Very good pizza, crowded and noisy at night, don't even bother trying the Cajun buffet that is co-located there, terrible. (850) 396-6568 Thai Hut - Very tasty Thai food, if it is closed drive to Fort Walton Beach and enjoy one of the 78,000 Thai restaurants there. I ate here 4 days ago. Navarre, FL 32566-6940 (850) 936-4337 Guglielmos Italian Grill - Great Italian food, lasagna the size of your head, tasty bruschetta. I ate here two nights ago. (850) guglielmositaliangrill.com936-9030 County Line Pizza and Pub - This place just opened and has some very good panini sandwiches, they will make any pizza you wish, even if it's not on the menu. I eat lunch here about 3 times a week and get the Dark Forest Panini (Black Forest Ham and Swiss cheese), add extra meat for only $1 more and choose the fries, ask for the spicy mustard and BBQ sauce on the side. 3176 Highway 98 W Mary Esther, FL 32569 850-200-4262 Bombay Masala - Very tasty Indian food, not in Navarre, it's in Fort Walton Beach. They have a great lunch buffet, if you want to order off the menu get the Chicken Korma! Make sure that you order the Chai Tea. Closed on Sunday. 326 Eglin Parkway NE (Near House Of Carpet) Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547-2860 ![]() 850-862-0978 Juno's Sushi Steak & Seafood - Great sushi prepared by Juno, the Jedi Master of Sushi! Juno's also makes Korean food if you wish, bulgogi, kalbi, no kegogi though. 110 Eglin Parkway South Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548-4917 (850) 244-5866‎ Okinawa Japanese Steak & Seafood House - Very tasty sushi and a hibachi grill, lots of fire and flying shrimp! 180 NE Eglin Parkway Fort Walton Beach, Florida 244-0055 or 244-0056 Well there you have it, a list of places I eat at and that I'd take my family to if they were visiting me. Have fun here. |

As far as oil on the beach here, if there is oil there, it is no where near as bad as the media is making it out to be. I was on the Beach yesteday and cleanup crews were out there, but there was very few tar balls to pickup. The beach was full of people, including people swimming.
I lived in Navarre for 17 years and still work in Navarre. Glad you are coming down. 50% chance of rain on Sat. and 60% Sun. Rest of the week should be nice. Check out the new pier. Longest one in the Gulf. If you have anymore questions, let me know. Enjoy your stay. |

I live less then 2 miles from Navarre beach and as said, other then a few tiny tarballs that you really have to look for oil in the sand (and I mean really look hard) everything is perfect. I spent all day fishing at the pier yesterday and it was beautiful.
We are still having large amounts of June grass (green slime like algae) but its harmless. I enjoy East Bay Crab House. Its a couple miles east of the causeway on 98 and for a decent meal at a good price check out Johnny Houstons which is three miles to the west of the causeway on 98, get their philly steak burger. Navarre is pretty quiet and not much going on. Juanas Pagoda can have a decent band if your in to having a couple drinks one night. Dont wear socks as the bar area has a sand floor. The drive down Gulf Blvd towards P'cola Beach is a must on a pretty sunset. |

Just got home and had a great time. I grew up going to Destin every year sometimes twice a year for the first 25 years of my life and have recently been going to Perdido Key (friends family house= free) This is my first time to stay in Navarre beach, forgot it was right down the street.
Ate at East Bay Crab House, McGuires, Johnny Houstons and as always took the trip to Pensacola to the Fish house to eat Grit's a ya ya. Water and weather were great, the algae was pretty thick, but not bad. Swam everyday. I can't wait to go back. I will have to try Juno's as I have heard a lot about it but didn't have time. We will be back soon to stay in Perdido key and will try all of the places mentioned. They are not too far and love to travel the coast. |
