Hey Guys, just moved back to Deland from Louisiana and need some input on local ranges. What's in the area, distance and restrictions? Any help is welcomed.
I'm a AR & AK guy. |

i want to join this place in deland/new smyrna-
http://www.volusiacountygunclub.com/index.html reasonable prices for membership...looks like paradise for shooters- i believe they have 500yds available there's always the ocala natl forest range...no range master, pretty much anything goes- in a bad way. it's best to go early AM or late PM to avoid the jerkoffs that shouldn't even have a firearm...they have a shotgun area for shooting clays and 10-12 lanes on the main pistol/rifle area to 100yd strickland range in ormond has been moved to daytona on US92 now with a updated/much larger range...but the range master didn't seem to like ARs and flipped out on me for moving a target holder to the 50yd line on the EMPTY 100yd range (one guy shooting) while trying to get my AR sighted in...make sure you carry your rifles in barrel up instead of barrel down lol and of course no rapid fire. i believe the price is/has gone up to $10/per day |

Strickland range is off of 92 closer to Daytona by the prison. They have 7,15,25,50 and 100 yard spots
http://www.volusia.org/parks/stricklandrange.htm Also for a private one I've heard great things but yet to make it out yet. They also host a defensive carbine club once a month. for both members and nonmembers. http://www.volusiacountygunandhuntclub.com/ |

+1 on the Volusia County Gun & Hunt Club. You will not regret joining. |
| Yea they tend to consider everyone untrustworthy until proven different. Once your there often enough for them to recognize you they get a lot nicer. If you ever look at the upper baffles, even the first set, there are plenty of holes from stupid people, and they even had a guy set fire to the burms cause he didn't realize tracer was mixed in with his ammo. Leaves them a bit worried since it's a county facility. |
