My wife and I will be in Orlando in mid-April for 4 days. Anyone have any suggestions on things that are a "must see" in that area?

One thing I would like to do is fish in the ocean, anyone know of any charters/guides that wont break the bank?

Thanks.

Orlando != Ocean

You'll need to drive an hour and a half in either direction to get there. Then you have west coast or east coast, deep-sea atlantic fishing or inshore-flats type stuff on the west coast. Dont know any guides, I just fish myself. I'm sure someone will chime in, or you could always start hitting up the yellow pages

I like Sea World in Orlando. The mouse-not so much. Close by, I'd suggest a visit to Kennedy Space Center. As far as fishing charters, just google ' Cape Canaveral Fishing charter '. Rates range from $70 - 800, depending on what you want. For a nice way to spend some time, I'd also suggest a sunset cruise on the Indian River. I'd stay away from International Drive and Orange Blossom Trail.

There is literally so much to do here, you probably need to narrow it down.

Of course you have the whole Disney thing with all four theme parks and a variety of water parks (probably too cold in early April, at least for Floridians). If you don't like the traditional Disney thing, check out Cirque du Soleil La Nouba in Downtown Disney. Pricey at $70 per ticket or so, but I never met anyone who said it was not worth the price. This makes a great date night when paired with a nice dinner.

Of course there is also Universal and it's two parks. They also have a huge night time entertainment complex. If you like bars, dancing and drinks, City Walk is your place. Universal also has Blue Man Group, another good show.

There is also Sea World and Discovery Cove. At Discovery Cove you can swim with dolphins.

From the airport you are a straight shot to Cocoa Beach and 50 minutes from the Ocean. Pick the charter of your choice. And of course, hanging for a day at the beach is never a bad thing.

Also have Kennedy Space Center in that area. You could spend a whole day there.

Does your wife like to shop? The outlet malls here are top notch.

Lots of good restaurants;

Moonfish
Flemings
Ocean Prime
Season's 52
Shulas Steak House
Texas de Brazil

If you want a really, really romantic dinner with the wife, check out Victoria and Alberts in The Grand Floridian on Disney propoerty. Reservations required. Jackets for men required. So many courses I can't count them. It will take 3 hours and your wife should be very appreciative afterwards.

Have a great trip and spend lots of money here.
