Was wanting to post my Remington 700p online for sale as I was going to move to another platform, but before I did so I wanted to make sure that this would be legal to do in Florida.

I was simply planning on listing it on craigslist at first as it's free, and will only do a face to face transfer in a public place. My question is, what do I need to require from the individual - ID, ask them if they are a felon (who the hell would answer yes?), anything,,,or simply hand them the rifle when they give me the cash and thats all?

Thanks

Bill of sale is optional, and it's up to you and the buyer.  Technically yes, you are suppose to ask if they can legally possess said firearm.  Some folks ask to see a FL ID.   Some folks take it a step futher and will only sell to a CWP holder.  Craigslist doesn't allow the sale of firearms.  You might consider putting it up on the EE here, it's free as well you know

Isn't there a Cragslist for guns now? I'm not sure how much traffic it gets though.

If FTF falls out, you can always put it up on Gunbroker and say FTF only.
