Does anyone know of any basic plans to make a paper target holder for a outdoor range? I know you use 1x1 posts and cardboard, but I do not know the width of the posts and the basic height.

Thanks, I basicly just needed the width at the base becaused I did not know the measurement of the holes in the ground at most ranges. I thought it would be better to make this at home instead of making the stands at the range taking up my my shooting time. thanks again

buy 1 8' furring strip and cut it in half. each half will be 4' long, then staple a sheet of cardboard to it depending on the size at the range. as long as you have your furrings cut you're GTG. This is what I do. $2.25, one quick cut at an angle with the circular saw, bring my targets, a stapler, and a hammer to drive them into the ground. Don't have to remember to retrieve it, don't care if some jackasses shoot it up. |

I go around after the elections and take all the signs off the corners and polling places. I picked up an entire pickup truck load last election. If you ask the polling places if you can take them they will even help you load them up. I even got the 4 x4 big plastic signs. I do so enjoy shooting certain ones
