was at work today...(i work near JIA)...and while outside i heard a fighter jet...nothing out of the ordinary, the ANG's F-15s are always doing moves...well these engines sounded different, so i was looking up in the sky and saw two F-22s scooting around, actually pretty close, >1 mile....they sat up there for a bit doing some moves until they moved off...just thought it was cool, not everyday you get to see a few of those flying around here in jacksonville...also picked up a 110$ shimano bass rod after work, for 20$ soooo that was another cool thing

They have done touch and goes at NAS JAX a few times in the past. Nice sight to see up close while working on the flight line.

I see F-22s flying around all the time.  They can do some pretty neat tricks.

I guess living in the same town as the training base may have something to do with it...

Lockheed is right here in Ft. Worth where they make them, and I see them and the 35's flying quite a bit.  I saw an F-16 and an F-22 doing some testing in the air one day, and the F-16 joined up with the -22 as it took off, the -16 in full AB, and the -22 just cruised right away from it.  Awesome aircraft.  A friend of mine that works at Lockheed told me that on several occasions, the -22 had been cleared for 50K ft altitude "PRIOR to reaching the end of the runway, and MADE IT!!!!!  I say again, awesome aircraft.
