If i'm not mistaken, buyer must reside in same state. I would have a dealer do the transfer for you on an ATF4 just to be safe. Or you could join T.I.

As long as you are the buyer and not the seller i believe that you would be legal. Especially if it is a long gun. If hte gun is legal in both states you are good i believe with private sales.

A person not licensed under the GCA and not prohibited from acquiring firearms may purchase a firearm from an out-of-State source and obtain the firearm if an arrangement is made with a licensed dealer in the purchaser's State of residence for the purchaser to obtain the firearm from the dealer.
