I've seen it's damage potential, and I have an idea how dangerous it is. I'm going to play it safe and hit it with my rem700 100+yds away just to be sure. But does anyone have any tips tricks on mixing it? what to do, what not to do? rather than reading the instructions, I'd rather get advice from someone who uses it proficiently. I have 2lbs of it, and am probably going to nail the entire 2lbs in one shot for effect. ![]() i'm placing it on a gravel trail, next to a canal, opposite from a berm. so I think the terrain wont be an issue. I'm not going to explode any appliances... yet. just want to try it out first. My family is coming along for the show, so I want to be sure it's safe. any advice would be appreciated. |

Dude, just look up head_space's videos on here somewhere. These guys are nuts. lmao. I have been to a shoot with them, so i guess i am too. lmao. If i could remember the name of the post, i'd send you that way, but i can't. I know he's got some posts in here and in the Ga hometown. |
right, but what i'm looking at is a jar full of white balls that look like silica gel. then I have a small grey bag. it says on the instructions I need to mix them, but I have very little grey substance, and alot of little balls (no pun ). it also says something about white powder? where is that? is that the white balls?I was figuring something like a two part epoxy, but I have like a 1/20 ratio mix is this normal?

lmao. That's head_space from Ga. lmao. And after their last outing, 20lbs is baby stuff to them. lmao |

Tannerite is great fun. I used it for the first time this past July and had the same concerns. I added spoonful of the black compound to a bottle of white balls, shook/swirled and put back into the original container. I tried a could of these and went to a 2 liter bottle. At 100yards the small bottles are loud, the 2 liter sent out a shockwave that hit your chest. It is stable but I would caution that it is definitely to be respected. I placed the bottles on 24" diameter ash logs and they left divots like from a golf club. Let us know how you make out. |

well that was a shitty experience... i mixed it pretty well, then shook the container untill I got a uniform grey... I placed it roughly 120yds away and hit it with my .270 all I saw was a small flash come out of the side of the container. comparable to one of a firecracker. I went over, collected some of the compound that fell out and set it up again. I shot it again, this time with .556 and had a slightly larger blast. nothing to what it should look like though... what went wrong? was in not mixed properly? if anyone who knows how to mix it can give me a heads up I'd appreciate it. I used a pencil to stirr it around, then put the lid back on it and shook it up a little. |
I just mix it as the instructions say and it goes boom -- dont know what to tell you. Here is the last time I shot some -- It was about 5-6 pounds IIRC ... www.youtube.com/watch?v=1W4ZymcfdEQ |
You're kit should have come with a white mixing container. (if you got the 20 bottle kit) You dump the contents of the bottle into the mixing container, put a spoon of the grey powder in with it, put the lid on and shake it for about 30 seconds. Use the funnel and pour the mix back into the bottle, put the cap on and then shoot it. Two things prevent a good detonation, poor mixing and too much moisture/humidity contamination. |

Make sure you mix the binary compounds in a dry environment... Low humidity... Do not add anymore product to the catalyst... Stir the container for 30 seconds then shake the container for 1 minute up-n-down... Keep the container sealed with the mix ready to go... ![]() Then go boom, boom |

is this normal?
