MY FFL IS REFUSING TO DELIVER THE FIREARMS because HE stats that its illegal under federal law to give the individual the firearm if he does not have a copy of the senders ffl:( OH GOD...... |
Your being fucked ... You don't need to be an FFL to ship to an FFL. Ask him to call the .gov FFL support line and ask them. |
Sounds like Ace's indoor shooting range to me --- where/who is this place so we can avoid it? |
Hes full of shit, stupid, or trying to screw you. There is NO such law. I was just talking to Land O Lakes Gun n Pawn and they will do it, no problem |
| When I sold my PS90 and shipped it off to Texas to the buyer's FFL holder I had the same problem. The buyer's FFL holder insisted on my FFL to which I responded it was not necessary but he would not budge. I ended up digging of the ATF regs and sending it to him so he can get educated. From now on I have buyers check with their FFL holder to ensure that they will receive a firearm directly from me. Apparently I have been made aware that some FFL's will not do that as a preference not as a matter of law. |
FUck that, dont lie down and take this shit! Get the ATF involved, or at least get the regulations and have him call. he cant keep property thats not his. See if he will transfer to another FFL, do something, dont just swallow 3k worth of stuff you wont have |

simple fix really.... i had it happen once. i just called the guy who sent the guns, and he had his regular ffl send out a file copy, and the ffl i was dealing with got it and transfered the guns to me. see if the person you got the guns from has a friendly ffl to get a file copy.... good luck, and i hope it works out for you. |

This happend to me a couple of years ago both buying and selling. It's not an ATF law/rule but, "it's his f'in FFL and he can set the rules" as far as who he gets a firearm in from that goes through his books. That's what I was told by an FFL holder that was a long time friend. I didn't deal with him any longer. Many FFLs are doing this lately and I see their point with all that's going on in this world today. You will see notations on Internet guns FS that "your FFL must be willing to accept shipment from other then an FFL" or similar language. I lost a sale earlier this year because of this. |

k24acuhz this is what you need to do ... 1: print out the ATF Regs and take it to your FFL. Explain to him that if he had this particular rule he needed to inform you of it PRIOR to accepting your transfer. 2. explain to him he is incorrect and show him the proof. Ask him to call his FFL helpline to confirm. 3. if he still refuses -- Tell him you will call the local ATF office in Miami and you will report him. Explain you will not stop until your weapons have been transfered or he loses his FFL. Explain to him that you will also call the local police department and report your weapons as stolen since he is refusing to abide by the law and transfer you your weapon. Explain to him that they are indeed YOUR weapons and that he needs to complete the transfer immediately on the spot. |

I spoke to an ATF inspector that happened to be at a gunshop I was picking up some stuff at. I explained your dilema. He said that there was any person can send a forearm to an FFL. The shipper does not have to have an FFL. It is not illegal to accept a shipment form a non-FFL. He explained and the shop owner concurred, that a lot more FFLs are not accepting shipments from non-FFLs. The reason the owner gave, was that there is an added level of "traceability" in case the fire arm is stolen. The FFL that has your firearm should have made his requirements known before he accepted your contract to do the transfer. |
Did you tell John I sent you ? I'm glad they will work with you |
Not sure who i talked too, but he was very helpful. I also found out that 2nd Amendment Armory in Brandon will do it as well so i may go with them as they are much closer |
DOnt know, but Ill find out for you tommorrow. I havnt seen any Class III stuff however |
