FYI for you FL residents. If you like being able to drive to rural areas just wanted to let you know about this amendment. www.hometowndemocracy.com This organization is trying to get an amendment on the ballot for 2008 that would take the zoning power away from the local governments and give it to the voters. I believe that this will help slow down or stop the wall to wall construction that we are seeing in this state. |
| I can't see voters approving measures to turn cow pasture into 15000 home developments at any great pace, I don't care where you live. I know this borders or communism but growth is out of control down here and everybody and their brother wants to come here for tax reasons. Add to that, basically, 5 elected officicals in any jurisdiction have control over growth. 5 campaign contributions later, your 15000 home development is approved. Too much power for 5 people. |
