What's the twist on the bbl, and what can are you planning to run? I looked into getting cans for my 7.3" bbl SBRs, , and could only find one manufacturer that would warranty a can on that short of a bbl...everyone else said 10.5" was the minimum allowable. American Mfg said I could run their XXX Warrior on a 7.3" with a 1/7" twist...but I've read enough bad reports about ordering from that company that I'm hesitant to go with them. If I found someone who had the can in stock, maybe. I don't know much about the technical aspects of suppressors, but the only thing I can think of is to perhaps use a .30 cal can on your SBR, as the larger diameter baffles will give you a margin of security if the 5.56 bullet doesn't stabilize out of the short bbl...but then obviously the db reduction won't be as efficient. |
