| I think I am ready to take a leap and start participating in competitions. Where should I start? What do I need to do? Do I have to join clubs, or can I just show up with my toys and expect to shoot? I want to do something like IDPA, and 3 gun. |

Show up at Central Florida Rifle & Pistol club on the first sunday of the month with the following items. IDPA legal handgun, holster and at least 3 mags. (mag pouch optional) Eye and ear protection (Put eye protection on imediately when you exit your vehicle) Cover garment. (any kind of loose button up shirt will do) $12.00 cash (I think) Go down the main road and take the first left (you will see about 30 cars parked by a white trailer) Ask the first person you see to point out a guy named Brian Demers. Explain to Brian that you are a noob and he will walk you through the registration process and squad signup. Attend a short meeting explaining the rules. Join up with your squad and start blasting! While youre there locate a guy named Julian Dominy and he will get you on the right track for the 3 gun stuff. Have fun! |
